إذا داعبَ الماءُ ظلَّ الشَّجرْ وغازلَ الشُّحْبُ ضوءَ القمرْ
(1) When water is playing with the shadow of tree, and cloud is making enjoy with the light of moon.
وردَّدتِ الطير أنفاسَها خوافقَ بين الندي والزَّهَرْ
(2) And Bird is taking breathe fastly, and it is fluttering it's wings sometimes on dew and sometimes on flower.
وناحتْ مُطوَّقةٌ بالهوى تناجي الهديل وتشكو القدرْ
(3) And female pigeon is cooing with love, and it is murmuring to male pigeon and also complain about luck.
ومرَّ على النهرِ ثغرُ النسيم يُقَبِّلُ كلَّ شراعٍ عبرْ
(4) And on the river fast Breeze passed, and it is kissing all ships that is passing.
وأطلعتِ الأرضُ من ليلها مفاتنَ مختلفاتِ الصُّورْ
5) And earth has disclose in front of night, all types of beauty.
هنالك صفصافةٌ في الدُّجى كأنَّ الظلامَ بها ما شعرْ
(6) In the darkness of night there is a big tree and its shadow only you could be felt.
أخذتُ مكانيَ في ظلها شريدَ الفؤادِ كئيبَ النظرْ
(7) I took my place under its shadow, and that time I was brocken heart and with sad eyes.
أمرُّ بعيني خلال السماء وأُطرقُ مستغرقاً في الفِكَرْ
(8) I look in the whole sky by my both eyes, and also go down my head keeping myself busy to thinking.
أطالعُ وجهك تحت النخيلِ وأسمعُ صوتك عند النَّهَرْ
(9) I am looking your face under the tree of date (palm tree), and I am listening your voice at the river.
إلى أنْ يَمَلَّ الدجى وحشتي وتشكو الكآبةُ مني الضجرْ
(10) Until darkness has become bore because of my loneliness and my fear, and pain started complaining about my craziness.
وتعجبُ من حيرتي الكائناتُ وتُشفِقُ منِّي نجومُ السَّحرْ
(11) And whole universe become surprised because of my problem, and morning stars has become merciful on me.
فأمضي لأرجع مستشرفًا لقاءَك في الموعد المنتظَرْ !!
(12) So! I'm leaving, so I come back with freshness, to meet you on appointed time.
